LINN LORKIN BIO
Brought up on a New Zealand dairy-farm, Linn Lorkin got her first piano lessons from her mother, a Ferguson from Aberdeenshire. In Europe her early professional career ranged from singing in a low dive in Copenhagen for sailors and prostitutes to playing with her own trio at Ronnie Scott's jazz club in London. She played the New York piano-bar scene for eight years. Back in New Zealand Lorkin leads the French chanson trio French Toast, sings with NZ's premier klezmer group The Jews Brothers Band and is a prolific song-writer whose recordings enjoy frequent radio-play in New Zealand and Australia.
