The now-traditional celebration of James Joyce's comic Irish masterpiece, Ulysses, wherein the wandering Jew Leopold Bloom makes his confused perambulations around Dublin during the course of one day and night on June 16th 1904. With readings by Dubliner Brian Keegan, wild enactments by Michael Keir Morrissey, Hershal and Linn Lorkin and various other treats like a barber-shop quartet and an opera singer. Peter Scott is MC and there's lots of music by The Jews Brothers. Expect a cross between and a literary event and a wild Irish hooley !!

Artist Profile

The Jews Brothers Band

This eclectic and eccentric five-piece from New Zealand always hits the stage in an explosion of energy and keeps up the pace throughout. It's exhilarating foot-stomping, hand-clapping repertoire, both original and traditional, features wild Eastern- European dance medleys, neo-40s New York swing, gypsy "hot club", schmaltzy waltzes and funky dance grooves.
